Slop Collector: The Your AI Slop Bores Me Game Where You Clean Up AI's Mess

The internet has a trash problem. Not the regular kind — the AI kind.

Every minute, another flood of AI-generated slop hits the web. Articles nobody asked for. Images that look slightly off. Social media posts written by bots that don’t know they’re bots. It’s digital landfill, and the pile is growing faster than anyone can sort through it.

So we made a game about it. Slop Collector is exactly what it sounds like: you’re standing at the bottom of the screen, catching the good stuff (human creativity — hearts, paintbrushes, art) and dodging the bad stuff (AI slop — robots, ice cubes, crashing stock charts).

It’s dumb. It’s simple. And it’s strangely addictive.

Why a Catching Game?

We wanted something that felt physical. Something that makes the abstract problem of AI content pollution concrete. When you’re moving your basket left and right, frantically catching hearts while dodging robot emojis, you’re doing something that feels like what the internet actually needs right now: someone paying attention to what’s real and what isn’t.

The game gets harder the longer you play. The items fall faster. More slop appears. The ratio of good-to-bad shifts. Sound familiar? That’s literally what’s happening online.

The Leaderboard

Here’s where things get competitive. Slop Collector has a live leaderboard powered by Supabase. The top 3 “Anti-Slop Rebels” earn their spot and a spot on the wall of fame.

Current high scores are in the hundreds. These people have reflexes. These people have conviction. These people have spent way too long doing this.

If you crack the top 3, you’ll be asked to enter your rebel name. Choose wisely. The whole internet will see it.

The Design Philosophy

We gave Slop Collector a dark terminal aesthetic on purpose. It looks like you’re operating a piece of industrial equipment — because that’s what cleaning up the internet should feel like. Not fun. Not flashy. Just necessary work that someone has to do.

The green-on-black monospace text. The CRT scanlines. The “PROOF OF HUMANITY” label on the share screenshots. It all screams “this is the resistance, and we’re not playing around.”

Well, we are playing around. But, you know, with a point.

What Makes It Different

There are thousands of catching games on the internet. What makes Slop Collector different isn’t the mechanics — it’s the meaning.

Every heart you catch represents a piece of human creativity that survived the algorithm. Every robot emoji you dodge is another piece of AI slop that didn’t get amplified. The scoring isn’t just points — it’s a statement about what you value.

That probably sounds too deep for a game about catching emojis. Fair. But in 2026, even the small acts of resistance matter. And sharing your score on X or Facebook with the “HUMAN CERTIFIED” stamp? That’s a small act of resistance.

Tips for High Scores

  1. Stay center. Don’t chase edge items unless they’re easy. The center gives you the most options.
  2. Watch the spawn, not the items. Items appear at the top. If you track where they spawn, you can predict their landing zone before they arrive.
  3. Don’t be greedy. Missing a heart costs you nothing. Catching a robot costs you a life. Risk management.
  4. Use keyboard and mouse/touch differently. On desktop, arrow keys give you more precision. On mobile, drag is faster but less accurate.

Join the Rebellion

Slop Collector is part of The Rebel Arcade, our growing collection of human-proving games. If you liked this one, try Circle of Truth (draw a perfect circle — you can’t) or Slop Runner (Chrome Dino, but you’re escaping AI bots).

Every game, every score, every share is another voice saying: the internet belongs to humans.
