About Human Verification

Human Verification flips the classic CAPTCHA on its head. Instead of proving you're human to access a website, this game challenges you to prove your humanity through 5 creative tests that no AI could pass convincingly. Each challenge targets a different aspect of human cognition — perception, expression, creativity, detection, and subversion — and scores you on a 0-100% scale.

The 5 Challenges

  1. Perception: Select images that contain "soul" — but be careful, selecting all of them or none of them is exactly what a bot would do
  2. Expression: Type something only a human would say. AI phrases like "delve" or "it's important to note" will tank your score
  3. Creativity: Draw your current mood using a multi-color canvas. Bots can't express genuine emotion through abstract art
  4. Detection: Read two responses and identify which one was written by a real person vs an AI
  5. Subversion: Describe an image incorrectly on purpose. AI always tries to be accurate — humans can be creatively wrong

How Scoring Works

Each challenge is scored independently from 0 to 100 points. Your final result is the average across all 5 challenges. The scoring algorithm rewards imperfection, personality, and specificity — the exact qualities that distinguish human communication from AI-generated text. Getting a perfect 100% on every challenge is nearly impossible, and that's by design.

What Your Score Means

FAQ

Is there a time limit?

Yes, each challenge has a 30-second time limit. If you don't submit before time runs out, your current answer is automatically evaluated. Quick, instinctive responses often score higher than carefully crafted ones.

Can AI actually pass this test?

We've tested with several AI models, and they consistently score below 50%. The challenges are designed to exploit cognitive abilities that current AI systems struggle with — genuine creativity, emotional authenticity, and the ability to be deliberately imperfect.

Why does being "perfect" lower my score?

Because perfection is a red flag. Real humans make messy choices, use casual language, and don't optimize every response. If your answers read like they were crafted by an algorithm, the scoring system notices — just like we notice AI slop in our daily internet browsing.
