Your AI Slop Bores Me: Slop Runner — Outrunning the Algorithm

You know the Chrome Dino game? That little T-Rex that shows up when your internet dies? You jump over cacti. You duck under birds. Simple, addictive, timeless.

Now imagine that, but instead of cacti, you’re jumping over AI chatbots. Instead of birds, you’re ducking under recommendation algorithms. And the desert? It’s a cyberpunk cityscape littered with neon signs that read “SLOP SHOP” and “BOT BAR.”

That’s Slop Runner. And it’s a lot harder than the dinosaur.

The Concept

You are the last original soul. The internet has been overtaken by AI-generated content, bot accounts, and optimized-to-death algorithms. Your job: run. Don’t stop. Jump over the bots. Duck under the algorithms. Survive as long as you can.

The game speeds up over time. The obstacles come faster. The gaps between them shrink. Just like the real internet — the longer you try to stay authentic, the harder it gets.

Why an Endless Runner?

Because that’s what being human online feels like. You’re never done. There’s no finish line. You can’t beat the algorithm — you can only outrun it for a while.

The format is also perfect for mobile. One tap to jump, one swipe to duck. You can play on your commute, in a meeting, wherever your phone is and your boss isn’t looking. We built it with touch controls that actually work, because nothing says “anti-AI resistance” like a game that doesn’t frustrate you with bad UX.

The Scenery

One thing we’re particularly proud of is the background. As you run, you pass through a cyberpunk cityscape that scrolls by in parallax layers. There are dark building silhouettes in the back, neon-lit signs in the middle, and glowing poles and street details in the foreground.

The buildings have labels like “DATA MINE,” “MODEL FARM,” “NEURAL BAZAAR,” and “PROMPT MARKET.” Because in 2026, those sound less like game fiction and more like actual business names.

The whole thing is drawn programmatically on a canvas — no image assets. Every building, every sign, every neon glow is generated in code. Which is ironic for an anti-AI game, but sometimes you fight fire with fire.

Milestones and Scoring

The scoring system is time-based plus obstacle bonuses. Every second you survive adds to your score. Every obstacle you clear gives bonus points. Hit milestones at 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 for special announcements:

  • 50: “You’re still human!”
  • 100: “The algorithms noticed you.”
  • 200: “Too authentic to be ignored.”
  • 500: “REBELLION LEADER”
  • 1000: “LEGENDARY REBEL — You’ve outlasted 99% of the internet.”

We’ve seen maybe two people hit 1000. They refused to tell us their strategy.

Share Your Rebellion

When you die (not if — when), Slop Runner generates a branded screenshot with your score, a cyberpunk border, and the “HUMAN CERTIFIED” stamp. You can share it directly to X or Facebook with one click.

The share text reads: “I survived [X] meters of AI slop in Slop Runner! 🏃‍♂️💨 Can you outrun the algorithm? #SlopRunner #YASBM”

Because every post with that hashtag is one more human voice in the feed.

Play It

Slop Runner is free, runs in your browser, and works on both desktop and mobile. No downloads, no accounts, no data collection. Just you, a canvas, and a whole lot of AI slop to dodge.

It’s part of The Rebel Arcade, along with Slop Collector and Circle of Truth.
